Sculptural Painting Technique
Paintings are created by applying layers of flexible modeling paste with palette knives, clay tools, and dental tools prior to application of paint. Some carving and sanding may be required after modeling paste is dry. Thick paint may also be applied with a palette knife. Because of a strong sculpture background of artist Ginny Togrye, Creative Visions sculptural paintings may be textured and sculptural (Impasto) and sometimes reminiscent of a frieze or bas relief.
